2007 Accomplishements

In 2007, IMRO followed through on our laser-like focus on three main initiatives: Growth, Promotion, and Education.

Responding to unprecedented growth in the field and in IMRO’s membership, we revamped our Board structure to more accurately reflect our membership and better serve their needs.

In the area of promotion, IMRO concentrated on showcasing our value by heavily promoting the IMRO Best Practices for Online Sample and Panel Management, a recently released set of guidelines helping researchers conduct online research as efficiently and ethically as possible.

In the area of education, IMRO enhanced its educational offerings to the research industry by increasing our website content and services, responding real-time to member questions through our “Ask IMRO” website feature, and creating a “speakers’ bureau” to provide expert online researchers available to speak to various industry groups, including MRA’s local chapters across the country.

An exciting trend that we hope to continue in 2008 is increasing IMRO’s membership. At the end of 2005, IMRO membership totaled 150. By the end of 2006, IMRO had 675 members. IMRO’s membership continues to grow, keeping pace with the incredible growth in the interactive marketing research field.

By remaining committed to providing interactive marketing research professionals unparalleled growth, promotion and education opportunities, we intend to continue to grow our membership and remain positioned as the pre-eminent organization dedicated to serving the online research industry.
